I use the camera to communicate for many years now and my motivation has become increasingly clear to me: I am in this because of my love for human beings.

Curiosity killed the cat but curiosity keeps ME alive! With every project that I embark on. Whether my subject is a famous celebrity, rock star on the streets of LA or New York, or that little Soul Food joint in the Fillmore District of San Francisco. Even when riding around Turkey's South Coast of Gumusluk on a Vespa, meeting people that want nothing more than to invite me in to have a tea and baklava. Sweet! I can simply feel privileged to be the guy that gets the opportunity to photograph these subjects.

What strikes me again and again is the fact that we are all the same. The rock stars may initially like to give you as little time as possible. But even they can be slowed down when a cool environment is created. I play some great music, relax and time is suddenly on my side. Same game: Make a friend, get the shot! I love it, I enjoy it, I get it!

There are a variety of different characters here - I love them all, and celebrate our differences and similarities. For me - simply put - that's what life is about!
